The Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development has participated in the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for Women, under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the New Administrative Capital in Cairo from 6 to 8 July 2021, under the title of “Preserving the achievements of gender equality and empowerment of women in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond”.
The General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development, which held today its 37th Meeting on Thursday, 8th Shawwal1442 H, corresponding to 20th May 2021, Sadly, Recalls, with great sorrow, what is happening today of the devastating and horrifying attacks at the land of Palestine –
mainly at Al-Aqsa Holy Mosque, passing through the atrocities in Gaza Strip and ending every dear inch of this Blessed Land – which is not permissible or acceptable to be silent on or to let it pass without taking a pause stand in its regard.
With the grace of God Almighty, the international conference: “Tackling COVID-19 Pandemic: Health, Economic Diplomacy and Social Perspectives witnessed a distinguished global presence and a successful conclusion of its work continued for three days starting from Tuesday 23rd of February Until Thursday 25th of February 2021. This international conference was in cooperation between the Islamic Chamber of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), the University of Badjadjaran Alumni Association IKA UNPAD and the University of Badjadjaran, as part of global efforts to mitigate the economic repercussions of the COVID-19.
The Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture is pleased to announce the launch of the activities of the international conference: “Tackling The Covid-19 Pandemic: Health, Economics, Diplomacy, and Social Perspectives” which will be held in cooperation between the Islamic Chamber, Padjadjaran University Alumni Association (IKA Unpad), the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) on 23- 25 February 2021, in the framework of the global efforts made to mitigate the economic repercussions of Covid-19.
In partnership with Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture will hold the 17th Private Sector Forum of OIC Countries in Amman, Jordan, on Sunday and Monday, 27-28 October 2019. The forum aims to establish an international event that includes investors and business leaders in the field of information technology such as internet of things, Artificial Intelligence, Block Chains, and Fintech. Mr. Nael Al Kabariti, the Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce and one of the members of ICCIA board of directors announced his pleasure to host this forum in the Capital of Jordan, as this will reflect the great potential of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the field of the Communications and Information Industry. He also stressed on the fact that the partnership with ICCIA will reflect the potential to develop joint activities and projects between the two parties to build a permanent strategic partnership.
ICCIA is pleased to partner with CSR Egypt at the 3rd Forum on Strategies of Transition toward Green Economy, under the patronage of the Egyptian Prime Minister, H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly as a supporter on 14 June 2021 at Intercontinental City Stars Hotel, Cairo, Egypt.
In a major strategic step to achieve partnership between two international Islamic organizations: A cooperation agreement has been signed between the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) and the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), with the aim of making a quantum leap in the field of developing and controlling the Halal industry in Islamic countries, to achieve sustainable economic growth, create job opportunities and enhance intra-trade, in addition to reaching aligned halal food standards along the supply chains to ensure the highest reliability of Halal certificates and the Halal label for consumers around the world.
The joint meeting of the Board of Directors and the thirty-sixth session of the General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture was held on September 5, 2020, as E-Conference through the Internet.
The Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (ICCIA) represented the Private Sector at the 2nd High Level United Nations Conference on South-South Cooperation – (Buenos Aires Plan of Action (BAPA+40) held in Buenos Aires on 20th to 22nd March 2019 and was given the single honor to make a statement on behalf of the Private Sector in the Opening Session.
On the Sidelines of the 2nd High Level United Nations Conference on South-South Cooperation, the Islamic Chamber organized a Side-Event titled “The Role of OIC Institutions for the Promotion of South-South Cooperation among 57 Member Countries” on March 19 in Buenos Aires.
