ICCD and ICESCO Sign an MoU to Promote Youth and Women Empowerment across the Islamic World

In a proactive move to promote sustainable economic progress across the Islamic business community, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), aiming to bolster their collaborative efforts in sustainable development initiatives, with a strong emphasis on empowering youth and women across OIC member countries.
This MoU establishes a robust framework for advancing social solidarity economies that empower youth and women, facilitating the emergence of new entrepreneurs and boosting local business revenues.
Under this agreement, both organizations will coordinate efforts to enhance youth employment and entrepreneurship through joint initiatives planned for the years 2026 – 2027, emphasizing the necessary of exchanging best practices and developing capacity-building programs tailored to meet the demands of OIC member countries.
Moreover, both parties will actively participate in each other’s events, leveraging these platforms to strengthen partnerships and promote inclusive economic development across diverse sectors.
In this regard, ICCD and ICESCO will work together to co-finance, host, or support the execution of joint projects and programs that serve their respective members.
The MoU charts a unified path forward in key areas of human advancement, from education and youth empowerment to gender equality, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth across the Islamic world.
This landmark agreement marks a decisive step toward consolidating efforts across the Islamic business community, positioning ICCD and ICESCO as catalysts for inclusive development, resilience, and regional solidarity.
